Sauced Up Food Truck wins creativity award in Tamarac, Florida serving their "Mac n' Cheese Stuffed Chicken Wings". Influenced by the Food Network, owners Matthew and Dan Scala have perfected and combined two of our favorite classic comfort foods and serves them every Wednesday night at the Tamarac, Florida Hump Day Food Truck Event from 5:30-9 pm in Tamarac Park at the Rec.Center, 7501 N. University Dr.
Sauced Up serves a variety of stuffed wings: mac and cheese, bacon cheddar (served on a bed of loaded mashed potatoes), and pulled pork. The process for stuffing them is not a complicated one, but time consuming. They cut each wing open at the top and make a pocket and they stuff them. After stuffing, they bake them off so they have less time in the fryer, because they found that when they are fried for too long, they can split. After much trial and error, they figured it out, and we WIN.
